Biography

Pacific Pathology Associates, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice, is privileged to include Elizabeth B. Dacey, M.D., as a member of our dynamic medical staff. Dr. Dacey has an extensive medical and academic professional background.

Dr. Dacey earned her bachelor’s degree from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. She completed her Master of Arts at Columbia University’s Teachers College in New York, New York, as part of the Jaffe Peace Corps Fellows Program. She subsequently received her Master of Science degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, with a medical master’s thesis on nicotine and fetal development. Following her master’s degrees, she completed her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA.

Dr. Dacey completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. After her residency, she gained further specialized experience with two fellowships at the same institution, Oregon Health and Science University. The first was a fellowship in surgical pathology followed by a fellowship in cytopathology.

Dr. Dacey has extensive postgraduate professional experience in a variety of medical settings. Prior to joining Pacific Pathology Associates as a pathologist, she was a pathologist at the Pathologists’ Regional Laboratory in Lewiston, Idaho. She has participated in numerous multidisciplinary tumor boards, most recently at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID. Prior to that, Dr. Dacey sat on multiple tumor boards at Oregon Health and Science University and the Veterans Administration in Portland, OR. During this time, she was also a member of several hospital committees, including committees on cancer and infection prevention, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston, WA.

Dr. Dacey has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and has given numerous poster presentations at medical conferences in the fields of oncology, hematology, and infectious disease. She is an active member of several pathology professional societies including the College of American Pathologists and American Society for Clinical Pathology along with the Pacific Northwest Society of Pathologists and the Oregon Pathologists Association. Dr. Dacey holds full medical licensure. She is board certified in cytopathology and anatomic and clinical pathology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology.
