Dr. Beal is a pathologist and the President of Pacific Pathology Associates and serves as the Medical Director of Flow Cytometry and Transfusion Services at Salem Hospital. She is Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Beal completed her Surgical Pathology fellowship from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and her residency program in Portland in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center. She also trained for two years in the General Surgery residency program at Oregon Health & Science University. She received her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University and her Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Biology from Occidental College in Los Angeles. Dr. Beal is a native Oregonian and was born and raised in Salem. She enjoys vacationing at her beach house in Newport, showing her Western-style Appaloosa mare and shepherding three children through their teenage years. |

Dr. McDonald is a pathologist and the Vice President of Pacific Pathology Associates and is the Medical Director of Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Services at Salem Hospital and Medical Director of Laboratory Services at Silverton Hospital and West Valley Hospital in Dallas. He is Board Certified in both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Dr. McDonald initially completed a residency program in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado followed by a residency program in Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. His training was completed by a fellowship in Surgical Pathology and Cytology, also at OHSU. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Regis University, in Denver. Dr. McDonald enjoys traveling, cooking Indian and Moroccan cuisine and Memphis-style barbecue.

Dr. Konick is a pathologist at Pacific Pathology Associates and serves as Laboratory Medical Director at Santiam Memorial Hospital in Stayton and Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville. Dr. Konick is Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Konick completed his fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Laboratory of Pathology, Inc., in Seattle and his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He received his medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland and two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Medical Technology from Oregon Health & Science University and one in Chemistry from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.

Dr. Magilner is a pathologist at Pacific Pathology Associates and serves as the Medical Director of the Cytology Laboratory at Salem Hospital. Dr. Magilner is Board Certified in Cytopathology, Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Magilner completed his fellowship in Cytopathology from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City and his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont in Burlington. Dr. Magilner enjoys road cycling, his cat, and driving on the scenic back roads of Oregon. |

Dr. Smith completed her Hematopathology fellowship and her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts. In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys gardening, hiking and camping with her family. |

She received her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences, Cum Laude, from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Dr. Kavka enjoys creating art in various media, knitting and sewing, sailing, hiking, cross country skiing, and going to movies with her family. |

Geoffrey works as a Pathologists’ Assistant and is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Pathologists’ Assistant and also has fellowship status from the American Association of Pathologists’ Assistants. Geoffrey has been a Pathologists’ Assistant for 13 years since graduating from the University of Arizona in Tucson with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Geoffrey enjoys hiking and camping with his family and photographing nature. |
